| Bolivar's
History |
At
the beginning of the 20th Century, two brothers, Cesar and Carlos
Mantilla Jacome, started their grand entrepreneurship in Ecuador’s
then small capital city of Quito. Among their many projects
were a horse and buggy agency, the first horserace track in
the city, the printing press “El Comercio” (which
would later convert itself into the newspaper of the same name),
and the Theater and Hotel Enterprise of Quito.
The Theater and Hotel Enterprise of Quito was founded in 1945
and comprised of the theaters: Mexico, Cumandá, Puerta
del Sol, Bolívar, Variedades, Central, Alameda and Colon;
and the Hotels: Colonial, Crillon, Royal, and Columbus. |
