On
April 15, 2003, coinciding with the 69th anniversary of the
inauguration of the Bolivar, the Bolivar Theater Foundation
officially began its labors. It’s primary objective is
to raise funds for, and administer the rehabilitation process
of, the Bolivar Theater, a Cultural Heritage Site in the city
of Quito, Ecuador.
In addition to facilitating the recuperation process of the
Bolivar, the Foundation actively seeks to promote and produce
cultural programming, including the scenic and performing arts.
The Foundation produces events at the Bolivar Theater, as well
as in other venues both nationally and internationally.
